Before I Do

I can't believe it's happening. I am going to be a "Mrs." in 6 days! This is madness. The good kind of madness, of course! In 6 short days I am going to marry my absolute best friend and soulmate. I feel like the luckiest gal in the world. We are going to be married at a small resort in Sedona, AZ called L'Auberge, right next to to Sedona's famous red rocks and a magical creek running right behind us. On July 11th at 6:00PM, the rest of my our life begins. The wedding is very small, about 30 people, including our immediate family and a few of our closest friends, so it will be very intimate and romantic. I am so nervous but I think my excitement is definitely overriding the nervousness, which is good! Sunday after the wedding, we are driving up to Utah where my fiancĂ© lives, and I am going to be going crazy over "nesting' in the house with all of our new wedding goodies. Two weeks later, Connor and I will be off to the Dominican Republic for a fun family trip/ honeymoon. I can't wait!

At the moment I am feeling scared, nervous, and stressed out, but I think that's normal, right? I am trying to enjoy myself this week even though I may have a few "bridezilla" moments. Connor gets into town Wednesday night from Utah which will be great knowing I have him here and he helps me through these stressful moments. I am so excited to move in and share a life with my best friend, although, I know it's not going to be easy. Especially these first couple of years. We both understand this and know that marriage is something you have to work hard at. Our communication has been key to getting us through to this day, especially since we have been long distance. This is definitely going to be a big, new experience but as long as we communicate, never lose sight of what's important, and never go to bed angry, I think we will be off to a good start. We must be patient with each other, as this is a new learning experience for the both of us. I'm looking forward to spending the good and even the bad times with Connor by my side. I wouldn't want it any other way, and as long as I've got him, there's no way to ever fall.

Right now I want to share with you some pictures of the Bridal Shower and some other miscellaneous engagement photos!
